IceRadio.ca was an online, on-demand music station commissioned by a high-profile U.S. client. United States copyright laws prohibit changing the storage medium of recorded music (such as converting a CD to MP3 files) for public consumption, therefore a custom architecture solution had to be devised in order to live-stream music from a CD over the internet on demand. |
